Henhouse Harry
Henhouse Harry
An AI Generated Chuckie Egg clone in HTML 5. The game was generated by Claude AI using my suggestions and requests.
How to play:
Click Run Game to Start
Guide Henhouse Harry around the barn to collect eggs, avoid the hens who don't want you to steal their eggs! Along the way you can also pick up bird seed grain, for an additional 50 points, but you'll need to get to it before the hens eat it!
To win, collect all eggs on the 6 levels, the game will loop back to the starting screen at the end of the 6th screen.
Level order:
- The Barn
- The Stairway
- The Lift Shaft, where a central gap splits every floor and a lift runs from the ground to the top.
- The Shelves
- The Attic, where the platforms narrow into a roof shape.
- The Chimney, where two staggered lifts run up gaps between the platforms.
After the sixth level it loops back to the Barn with more and faster hens.
Lifts: Land on a teal lift and it carries you; walk off the edge to leave it. Hens ignore lifts, so they only use the ladders.
Grain piles: Every level has a few of these golden mounds. Each is worth 50 points and is optional, so you don't need them to clear the level.
Hens and grain: A hen that walks over a grain pile stops for about three-quarters of a second and pecks it, and the pile is gone. Get to the grain first if you want the 50 points.
High scores:
- The top 5 scores show on the title and game-over screens.
- If your score makes the table, you enter three initials. Up and down change the letter, and right or Jump confirms it. This works with the on-screen buttons on a phone.
- Scores are saved in the browser, so they stay on that device and aren't shared between players. If the browser blocks storage, the table will reset each time the page loads.
Tune
I've added a looping barnyard tune.
It's an original hoedown-style tune in G major: a bouncy square-wave melody over an oom-pah bass. It's not based on an existing song.
- When it plays: It starts when you begin a game and plays only during play, so it stops on the title, initials and game-over screens. It restarts from the top with each new game.
- Tempo: It gets a little faster as the levels go up.
- Music button: There's a "♪ Music on" button under the controls, or press M, to mute it.
Browsers only allow sound after a tap or key press, so the music begins when you start playing rather than when the page loads.
